Robert Brinker
For several years, Brinker has been using many sources to form his paintings and cut drawings. They include coloring books, cartoons, adult magazines and graphic novels. The paintings are built by layering multiple systems of lines that are interweaved with contrasting and conflicting imagery, color and information. The finished works reference an openwork fabric or lattice like structure of interconnected, complex networks.
