Michael Warren Contemporary (MWC) is pleased to present selections from the van Straaten collection. We are happy to exhibit and offer for sale prints from a variety of internationally recognized artists including John Baldessari, Lynda Benglis, Caroll Dunham, Eric Fischl, Al Held, Alex Katz, Sol LeWitt , Elizabeth Murray, James Rosenquist, Kiki Smith, Fred Tomaselli and many more.
William van Straaten worked as an art dealer for more than 40 years. He was dedicated to offering only the highest quality paintings, drawing, prints, photographs and other works on paper by major contemporary artists of national and international repute.
Over the years, van Straaten placed fine art in museums around the world including The Metropolitan Museum and MOMA as well as corporate collections including the Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago, Bank of America, A.T. Kearney, Hallmark Cards and many accounting, architectural and law firms.
William van Staaten also founded Riverhouse Editions in 1988, a print facility and publisher based in Steamboat Springs that worked with artists from all over the world to produce high-quality etchings and monotypes for over 20 years.
