We are thrilled to present gestural works created in 1990’s by Rita Blitt.
The large paintings on display in the upcoming exhibit were created in the period after the birth of her granddaughter and convey a decidedly happy time in the artist’s life.
While Blitt has shown her work around the world, it has been over 20 years since she last exhibited on the Front Range. Blitt works in a variety of media: She draws, she paints, she makes sculpture, and she has produced films. Blitt’s work is abstract; her canvases consist of emotive gestures reflecting her mood at the time of painting.
